Jordan and the Holy Land
Christian Tour (10 days)
Day One
Arrive Ben Gorion airport where you will be met by your guide,
driver and Daher Travel representative. Transfer to your Hotel
in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day Two
Mass at the Gethsemane Church in Jerusalem. Drive to the summit
of Mt Of Olives for a Panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the
Dominos Flevit, the Chapel of Ascension and on to the Garden of
Gethsemane, visit the Rock of Agony and the church of all
Nations. Continue to Bethlehem via Mt. Zion, visit St. Peter in
Gallicantu if time permits. In Bethlehm visit the Nativity
Church the Manger, Grotto of St. Jerome and church of St.
Catherine, view the Shepherds fields. PM Return to hotel. D/O.
Day Three
Mass at the Holy Sepulchre. Enter into the Old City of
Jerusalem through St. Stephen's Gate. Visit the temple
area, The Dome of the Rock, and El-Aqsa Mosque .
Continue visit St. Anne , the Chapel of Flagellation,
Lithostrotos, Arch of Ecce Homo (Behold the man) then
follow the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross) ending in the
Holy Sepulchre Visit Golgotha and the Tomb of Jesus.
Day Four
Mass at 10:00 at the Good Shepherds Church in Jericho.
Excursion to Jericho. View the Good Samaritan Inn, and Continue
to visit ancient Jericho, Elisha's Fountain by the Mt. Of
Temptation, continue to Massada for a visit by cable car.
Continue to Qumranm see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls
where found as well as the Dead Sea the lowest spot on the face
of earth. Return to Hotel D/O.
Day Five
Early morning. Cross the Bridge to Jordan. Drive to Petra The
spectacular rose-red city. Horse ride through the Siq. Visit el
Khazneh-The treasury. Roman theatre, water channels and
reservoirs, baths, and public buildings and paved streets.
Dinner and overnight in Petra.
Day Six
Mass at Mt. Nebo. Drive to Medaba at the Greek
Orthodox Church of St. George you can view the earliest
surviving original mosaic map of the Holy Land. Visit Mt. Nebo
where Moses viewed the Promised Land. Continue to Amman the
Capital of Jordan.To Hotel in Amman D/O.
Day Seven
Mass at St. Peter's Church. Drive to Jerash the grandeur
of Imperial Rome. View the imposing triple arched
gateway built to honor the Emperor Hadrian. Walk through
the colonnaded Streets, the theatre. Cross Alsheikh
Hussein Bridge to Tiberias. Continue to the shores of
the Sea of Galilee to visit the baptismal site at the
River Jordan. Transfer to Hotel in Tiberias D/O.
Day Eight
Mass at Mt. Beatitudes. Boat-ride on the sea of Galilee from Tiberias to Capernaum (the second home town of Jesus ) , on to
Tabgha and Mt. Of the Beatitudes to see the site of the .sermon
on the Mount. Continue to Cana of Galilee, where our Lord
Performed the first miracle - changing water to wine at the
wedding feast. Continue to Nazareth see the Virgin's fountain
and the Annunciation Church. Back to Hotel. D/O.
Day Nine
Mass at Stella Maris in Haifa. Drive to
the summit of Mt. Carmel, visit Stella Maris and the cave of
Elijah. Continue driving through the Sharon valley to Caesarea,
for a complete visit of the capital of the Romans Procurator of
Judea. Continue to Tel Aviv. Transfer to Hotel on the shores of
the Mediterranean D/O.
Day Ten
Transfer to airport for departure back Home
